Solar cells collect the sun’s rays and convert them into usable electricity, the electricity generated operates the pump, as the sun rises, intensity in sunlight slowly increase and it start driving the pump,the water flow from the pump increase from morning to noon and then decrease from noon to evening.
Solar panel uses sunlight as their source of energy to generate light. Solar PV array absorbs sunlight and generates electricity to operate the Pump system.
The voltage of the solar pump motors can be AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). Direct current motors are used for small to medium applications.
Variable-frequency drives (VFDs), allow a much wider operating range on selected electric submersible pump (ESP) equipment than might otherwise be possible the purpose of the VFD controller is twofold. Firstly, it matches the output power that the pump receives with the input power available from the solar panels. Secondly, a controller usually provides a low voltage protection, whereby the system is switched off if the voltage is too low or too high for the operating voltage range of the pump. This increases the lifetime of the pump thus reducing the need for maintenance.
Aelcon submersible pumps are suitable for 6” to 10” bore, multistage pumps of sectional design which permits suitable construction for the required head.
Each impeller is dynamically blanced. Pumps are designed for minimum friction losses, good finish and high efficiency.
